A couple of weeks ago, I posted this question in social media:- “What have been your top three learnings in 2017?” The response to the question was overwhelming. The respondents included thought leaders from the industry and business. I have captured the key take aways shared by them and am presenting them to you in the form a blog. Hope you would find them useful.
Nurture relationships. Give others with love and gratitude and without expectations. All that we invest in people, nurture us through situations and time. Family, Friends, and relationships are what make us do what we do. We should value these relationships. Recognizing opportunities for individual and collective growth with a simple logic of GIVERS’ GAIN means we gain from givings. We should also acknowledge the power of Networking. However, we should be careful in choosing our partners and friends in business and social life.
Invest time to know yourself better. Find out what you are good at and what you enjoy doing. Believe in yourself and your abilities and in that case you would never let yourself down.
Amid the mad race in the corporate and business world, we should never forget to pay attention to one important thing, i.e., our health. We must ensure that we are in the right shape and spirit at all times. Let’s give ourselves some time to slow down, re-energize and rejuvenate.
Push the Envelope
There is no substitute for perseverance, hard work and keeping faith on self. We should push the envelope and walk the extra mile. Let’s move out of comfort zones. We need to be game to venture into unknown territories, take up seemingly unrealistic goals. It is time to move out of our comfort zones.
Sharpen the Saw
CHANGE is the only thing which is constant. With change being the order of the day, we must keep learning, unlearning and relearning to keep pace with the change. Learning is a never ending process.
These were the Top Learnings from some of the very well known thought leaders in the industry in 2017. Let me thank all of them for responding to my query and contributing to this collaborative learning activity.
